Why does a puppy exceed 1000 €?
A litter of puppies represents very very important costs : we will discover together the expenses necessary for a serious breeder obviously because to succeed in selling an Australian Shepherd 500 or 700 euros that hides a vice.
First of all the sale of puppies is subject to 20% VAT therefore on a puppy at 1200 € it is therefore 1000 € HT. (Price incl.VAT / (1 + VAT rate) = Price excl.Tax

These values are calculated in the best of cases without unforeseen events (caesarean sections, care, surgeries ...) and for 7 puppies sold € 1,000 excluding tax per unit. So we can say without abuse that a puppy sold 1200 € TTC is a very reasonable price for an Australian Shepherd.
Breeder is a profession in its own right that must be practiced with passion and without having the idea of making a profit above all.
